Project 1: Application and Improvement of Embryo Transfer (ET) Technology as a Tool Towards Achieving the Desired Number of Genetically Superior Breeder Dairy Cattle

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The objective of the project is to promote assisted reproduction techniques, such as artificial insemination (AI) and embryo transfer (ET), in local dairy farms. The project will be using imported and/or locally produced semen and embryo from genetically superior dairy cattle breeds on the existing stocks of the dairy farms in specific regions of the Philippines. Likewise, embryo collection activities will be performed on qualified farms. These reproductive techniques will contribute to the increase in the genetically superior dairy cow inventory in the Philippines leading to the production of the desired volume of milk.
